Fruit for Stack Cake/Pies (without drying)
Recipe handed down from Lousie Myers Woodruff.
Ingredients
- 3 gallons Apples, cut Rome or Winesap
- 8 cups Sugar
- 1 cup Vinegar
- 3 tsp Cinnamon
Instructions
- Cook apples on low heat till tender.
- Drain water to leave about half.
- Mash apples and add the remaining three ingredients.
